A commemorative stamp set for the American Cancer Society, a voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. The ACS tagline, “The official sponsor of birthdays,” encompasses the organization’s dedication “to creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays.” A percentage of the proceeds would go directly to ACS.
Each stamp is a piece of the larger design, which is seen on the full sheet of nine stamps. Sheets would be sold in a folding paper box tied with ribbon to emulate a birthday present. The ribbons could be reused as cancer awareness ribbons.
